| Sydney gets recognition for "My Favorite Place" essay, November 30, 2006 Sydney was recognized by our town's school system for a visual arts essay she did. Of the nearly 250 original entries, many other kids were recognized, too, and some got even further recognition. Still, it was special to us, and we were proud of Sydney. She did the entire presentation herself, from conception thru completion, only asking Dad for help to "make the letters curve like they are on a book page" and Mom's help with some heavy duty glue, and a lift to the library. The library has asked if they can display it, so it will be there until the school gets it back in May, 2007 for a PTA event. |
